When out in the countryside you may well have experienced a sudden change of weather?
This painting captures such a moment. Walking along Attermire Scar where  lemony/gold  light fills the calm morning air. Suddenly the sky darkened almost crackling with an oncoming shower. Shown here in a rich palette of blue-blacks & silvery greys. A place where the life giving element of water weathers and forms the living rock of limestone for millenia.
Such raw energy moved me, I just had to paint it!
